Overview: Element has an opportunity for a new Senior Finance Analyst to join our growing Group head office team in London. In this role you will act as a Corporate Functions Business Partner, responsible for providing financial analysis, insights, and support to a range of the group’s senior leadership.
You will business partner each function’s Executive Vice President, and collaborate closely with the Vice Presidents, senior leaders and other stakeholders to understand their financial needs, drive strategic decision-making, and ensure the successful execution of initiatives.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, exceptional business partnering skills, and the ability to manage relationships effectively across the organisation. You will form part of the wider Business Partnering team and will also coach and develop the team’s junior resource.
Responsibilities: Business Partnering:
Develop a deep understanding of each function’s objectives, priorities, and challenges. Partner with leaders to align financial plans and resources with strategic initiatives and business goals. Financial Analysis:
Conduct detailed financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to support decision-making. Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and opportunities for optimisation. Stakeholder Management:
Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including technology leaders, project managers, and cross-functional teams. Serve as a trusted advisor on financial matters and actively participate in strategic discussions. Attention to Detail:
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports related to each function. Conduct thorough validation and reconciliation of financial information to identify discrepancies and mitigate risks. Performance Monitoring:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics for projects and initiatives. Monitor progress against financial targets and highlight areas for improvement or intervention. Ad Hoc Analysis:
Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic projects, investment decisions, and resource allocation within each function. Respond promptly to management inquiries and provide actionable insights. Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and optimise resource allocation. Implement best practices and leverage technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills / Qualifications:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. Exceptional business partnering and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and influence decision-making at all levels of the organisation. Experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably with a focus on business partnering or supporting corporate functions. Ability to work independently. Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to dissect complex financial data, identify trends, and draw actionable conclusions. Proficiency in financial budgeting and forecasting techniques. Advanced Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g. D365F&O and PowerBI) a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
