About the role We have an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join our Reporting and Accounting team in our head office in Edinburgh. The role offers a real step-change for us in the UK, helping add value by way of review, challenge, analysis and financial control while acting as a key point of contact for colleagues in our shared service centre in Krakow.

Working within Reporting and Accounting you will mainly be responsible for the UK statutory accounts process and associated external audit, month-end close activities, control compliance and liaison with multiple stakeholder groups. Review of legal entity management reporting, assessment of financial controls and other associated ad hoc tasks will also be required as part of the regular month-end activities.

You'll be a key point person and coordination point for the accounting processes performed in the Heineken European shared service centre based in Krakow, and you'll also business partner with other internal teams such as Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Legal, Process Control and Improvement, Internal Audit and Digital and Technology. Extensive collaboration with the external auditors will also be required. This is an exciting period of change across the finance function as it supports Heineken’s ongoing Global Digital Backbone project, and you'll be joining a hard-working team in a fast-paced environment that continually challenges the status quo.

Who we’re looking for? A Qualified Accountant with previous experience in both internal and external Financial Reporting, particularly statutory accounts production processes. Experience within FMCG or a large organisation would be preferable.

If you: have experience of IFRS or UK GAAP/FRS 101 accounting standards have experience of statutory financial statement production have strong Excel skills are an effective communicator enjoy working as part of a team can develop strong working relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders have excellent analytical skills with an enquiring mindset are motivated by continuous process and control improvement and efficiency.
