About the role:

Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Director of Finance and the Senior Leadership Team to drive business performance and deliver the best outcomes for the College.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team within the Finance department, ensuring performance and development meet the College's strategic needs. Prepare and present budgets, management accounts, and financial reports for the College and its subsidiaries. Provide financial advice and guidance to budget holders, managers, and senior leaders, actively identifying opportunities for efficiency savings and cost improvements. Support investment appraisals and business cases for capital projects and College initiatives. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain effective financial systems, policies, and procedures. Play a key role in audit processes and manage financial aspects of grants, taxation, and year-end financial accounts.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience:

At least 3 years of accounting experience, with a proven track record in preparing budgets and financial accounts. Experience in a Further Education College environment is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

A qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW) or qualified by experience. A minimum of NVQ level 3 (2 A levels or equivalent) is required.

Skills:

Strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office, experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI or Business Objects, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
