About the Role:
The GRS Global Expense team is looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner with strong financial knowledge and analytical skills. This role will support the Office of Operations and be responsible for implementing common and consistent reporting tools and assisting with idea generation of new savings opportunities. This position will also be responsible for the preparation and continuous improvement of the budgeting process and expense reporting tools.
About the Department & Team:
The GRS Global Expense team is responsible for supporting both Supply and Demand Pillars across GRS. Key responsibilities of the team include managing and supporting the annual budget process, providing monthly expense reporting and analysis, as well as driving accountability of key stakeholders to drive expense initiatives forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct multiple financial functions and business planning activities for a complex supply pillar, including analysis and execution of strategic plans. Ensure that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization's short- and long-term objectives. Globalized budgeting/expense reporting and analysis in direct support of the Office of Operations, specifically in support of the LII COO and LMRe COO. Manage the development of accurate budgets and financial plans by effective planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Interact with management to explain the budget or financial planning process, identify factors impacting expenses or financial trends, highlight opportunities for improvement, and create effective exhibits to explain the business plan. Continually assess the business value and efficiency of the work performed, identifying and implementing improvements. Develop consistent KPIs for efficiency tracking where applicable. Adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements, demonstrating behaviours as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy, as they relate to your role. Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting) required. Finance business partnering experience supporting senior leaders. Demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Communicate well with own team and across organizational boundaries to ensure the successful completion of shared goals. Able to communicate issues and trends to senior management and other groups at the appropriate level of detail. Solid understanding of Finance Tools and Analytical Methods.
