Job Description
Accountable for integrity of financial forecasts and reporting (including but not limited to; P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow, Cost to Serve)
Business Partner with Commercial team to challenge and drive cost savings
Stock management via PowerBI reporting tool
Responsible for Commercial (and KeyCare) month end reporting
Develop full understanding of various financial modelling undertaken to be able to drive improvements, remediate potential issues and immediately highlight and risks or opportunities within the business
Act as a deputy where required to the Head of Finance in reporting and understanding overall the finance view for Operations
Full understanding of underlying assumptions within modelling supporting the update of these and allowing continued full use across commercial finance and wider business teams. Ensure project benefits/costs are embedded in the overall cost forecast
Own the financial forecast models for Operations, making continual improvements to drive increased accuracy and efficiency of the models
Ownership of the weekly performance reporting, ensuring financial performance is clearly explained and linked to KPI performance
Work across the Operations finance team to develop and improve reporting
Drive the improvement of Operations reporting, forecasting and MI to provide both accurate and timely financial information, giving transparency and insight into business performance
Mentor and lead junior team members to drive forward change and meet the collective team deliverables
Produce the monthly business review packs for Operations, for director and exec review meetings, including detailed commentary over cash, balance sheet and EBITDA performance, with all variances explained and understood - working with the finance business partners to ensure a representative picture of performance is communicated
Ad-hoc projects and involvement to support the wider Finance team
Responsible for building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
The Successful Applicant
Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
Proven experience working in a Senior Finance role in a large complex organisation with experience of driving change
Gravitas to challenge operational management to ensure cost efficiency whilst customer service levels are maintained or improved
A confident self-starter, with a hands-on approach and the ability to operate within a dynamic environment
Ability to challenge the norm, spot trends, to enable challenge into Operational performance
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, and ensuring complex scenarios are fully understood
Strong analytical skills, including structured problem solving, diagnostics, modelling, business analysis
Ability to interpret large datasets to produce succinct insight and driver analysis
Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well in a team environment
Strong motivational skills with the ability to work using your own initiative to tight time scales
Manage to tight timeframes and manage the time scales of other stakeholders to ensure that activity is focused
Commercial acumen and a proactive, 'results orientated' approach
Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to prioritise and deliver under tight or conflicting deadlines
Accurate, thorough and reliable
Excellent Microsoft Excel/Office skills
Experience of Sap/BPC preferable
Ideally, some experience of R & SQL
Education and Qualifications:
Graduate level education
Recognised accountancy qualification

Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to prioritise manage and deliver under tight or conflicting deadlines
