Senior Finance Manager

will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and analysis for group accounts. This role requires a commercially astute leader who can deliver robust financial insights, manage complex projects, and provide strategic guidance to key stakeholders. The successful candidate will lead a team of finance professionals and play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the business. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and delivery of the financial strategy for the group ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and rolling forecasts, ensuring accuracy and relevance. Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership, identifying risks and opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency. Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and performance metrics. Provide actionable insights into business performance, highlighting trends and recommending corrective actions where necessary. Own and present financial results to senior leadership, including board-level stakeholders. Act as a key business partner to operational, commercial, and senior leadership teams, providing financial guidance to support decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate investment opportunities, cost efficiencies, and growth initiatives. Provide financial input into strategic projects, including new store openings, product launches, and supply chain optimisation. Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performing culture of collaboration and accountability. Set clear objectives, provide coaching and mentorship, and drive continuous professional development within the team. Ensure effective succession planning and talent retention within the finance function. Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with all relevant UK accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Support the audit process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all required information. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency. Lead financial analysis for key projects, including acquisitions, major capital investments, and transformation initiatives. Evaluate the financial viability of new business opportunities, providing clear recommendations to senior leadership. Monitor and manage financial risks associated with large-scale projects and operational activities. What We're Looking For? Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a large, fast-paced retail or consumer-facing business. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and IFRS. Excellent financial modelling, analysis, and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and concisely. Demonstrable leadership and team management experience, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence decision-making at a senior level. Experience in managing large-scale projects or transformation initiatives. Familiarity with retail finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Exposure to M&A or capital investment projects within the retail sector. Please contact
