We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Senior Finance Manager to join our high performing team.

REPORTING TO:

Financial Controller / Finance Director

LOCATION:

Based in Newry, Co. Down

CONTRACT TYPE:

Fixed Term Contract (12 months - maternity cover)

HOURS:

Monday - Friday 40 hours per week with early finish on Fridays

Role Responsibilities

Ensure accurate and timely billing of costs to the client and achieve cash collection targets. Supervise the Accounts Payable team to ensure costs are captured accurately, prompt issue resolution, and timely payments to suppliers within agreed credit terms. Lead period-end processes in line with group timetables. Prepare monthly and annual accounts, accruals and prepayments, journal entries, and month-end reconciliations. Ensure costs are accurately accrued within each period and oversee/maintain accurate processes and records to manage plant, material, and subcontract ledgers, and expense payments. Issue cost reports to commercial team in advance of CVR meetings. Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings, including RCT and PAYE. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. Support external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations. Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory financial statements. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the finance function. Perform any other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

The Candidate

Qualifications & Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in industry, with at least 1 to 2 years of team management experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience using ERP's and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. A relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
