No two days are the same, you will be required to demonstrate an ability to manage conflicting priorities and set realistic deadlines. Incident management, issue resolution and root cause analysis are key to this role, as we push for better in an environment of constant change. You will be part of the team responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading our financial accounting application. As a subject matter expert in our financial systems, teams across the society will look to you for advice and support. You will gather requirements, challenge constructively, assess impacts on business processes and other systems within the finance community, whilst simultaneously remaining compliant with controls and audit requirements. Your financial accounting experience will be valuable in supporting you as you collaborate with a variety of teams across finance from Asset Management, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable and Cost Management teams. About you
As a minimum you will have: Strong background in Finance, or experience with financial accounting. Experience in maintaining and supporting finance systems and change management. Experience in supporting the audit of a Financial Accounting system and awareness of the criticality of the controls we must comply with. Able to manage a combination of BAU and project workstream, with the ability to reprioritise. Confident at working with various stakeholders as part of project workstreams, at all levels.
