This sizable, vital organisation is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their high-performing team on a permanent basis following a recent and exciting period of growth and transformation. Reporting into a highly regarded Financial Controller, you will provide leadership to a small team of finance professionals, holding key oversight of all things financial accounting and control at both individual entity and group level. The key duties of this Senior Financial Accountant are as follows: Lead statutory accounts preparation and consolidated group reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and delivering timely, accurate financial statements. Manage external audits and ensure audit readiness, acting as the primary liaison with auditors. Oversee month-end close, balance sheet reviews, and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Enhance financial controls and streamline processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes that boost efficiency. Provide technical expertise and leadership to small team, supporting their professional development and fostering a collaborative culture. This role offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact by shaping the financial health and processes of a trusted organization. The position will officially be based out of their offices in Lincoln, opportunities to work from home will be on offer for up to three days per week. The successful candidate will have: Achieved their full accountancy qualification, or be in the final stages. Expertise in statutory accounting, either from practice or industry. Ideally, a background working in the charity sector, but this is by no means essential. Experience of, or the desire to manage a small team.
