Blair West is supporting LSL in Newcastle as they look to bring in a Senior Financial Accountant into the team within a divisional role in the franchise division. You will be reporting into the Divisional FC.
The opportunity: To generate accurate management accounts and other management information in accordance with agreed timescales for areas of responsibility. To produce statutory accounts in line with internal & external deadlines. Support the finance team in auditing / reviewing business balance sheets. To ensure best in class service delivery to Franchisees, including timely and accurate data delivery. To provide value added support to senior management. To provide support on cross functional projects. Support other functions as appropriate. Help to train and develop staff within the department. Contribute to company-wide management accounts, statutory accounts, forecasts and annual budgets. Review balance sheets monthly. Production of ad hoc reports as required. Input into the achievement of the Division's business plans & goals. Provide clear guidance to staff to ensure business plans and goals are communicated. Mentoring of the junior members of the team in their career development, ensuring an ambitious and best in class Finance team is maintained. You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you're someone who has: Relevant experience in a large/Corporate organisation (preferred). Experience in producing statutory accounts (preferred). Knowledge of the SUN accounts system (preferred). Experience of leading teams and managing people (preferred). Experience of developing staff. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel skills.
