Salary circa £70k We have an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the business on a permanent basis. This role will be based from our Guildford office on a hybrid working basis (circa 1 day a week currently). This role sits within the FP&A reporting team who are responsible for the consolidation and reporting for the Allianz UK group both actual and plan. The role works closely with the Financial Reporting and Business Partner teams to coordinate the close, while understanding and challenging the results as they come in. The role will work closely with the relevant business area to provide guidance, analysis and insight on financial matters, providing both recommendations and challenge. Through building relationships and influencing stakeholders, the Senior Financial Analyst provides financial support to facilitate the achievement of the business goals. If you like the technical, but want to play more of an analytical role – this could be for you – whether it’s challenging own funds forecasts or calculating and reviewing the ratios for our plan there is lots of technical to get your teeth into without doing a core accounting role. Transformation is the watchword in Allianz Finance, and you will get to be part of that change – our new planning tool was implemented for the 2024 plan period, but there is much more to do to improve its capability and build out FP&A’s challenge to that plan. Key Accountabilities

Support the regular monthly and quarterly result cycle to the required standards and quality, with focus on consolidation of the UK result and Group deliverables. Production of accurate, regular value add management information, analysis and insights to senior stakeholders and Group colleagues to aid decision making. Provision of financial management expertise, analysis and insight to inform and contribute to decision-making. Identify variances, ensuring these are investigated, and work with the business on mitigating actions. Support in the coordination and production of the annual Planning. Support the wider FP&A with Group requests, analysis and consolidation support across Allianz UK Group. Ensure all reporting and accounting is carried out to the required standards and quality, and to the agreed timescales. Influence business decision-making through engagement with key stakeholders. Provide business insight through competitor and market analysis, including review of competitor results, market development and legislative changes. About You

Working in Finance, the ability to work to tight timescales is almost always a requirement and this role is no different. You will be managing multiple asks at the same time – it will keep things interesting but being organised is a must. Above all, we want a person who is keen to learn; this role will evolve as transformation accelerates, which offers great growth opportunities for the candidate willing to get stuck in and help us make Allianz UK FP&A a true support partner for our executives and the business. Technical Skills

Up-to-date insurance accounting and reporting knowledge. Ability to apply management accounting and financial management techniques to inform business decision-making. Basic understanding of underwriting and technical disciplines, and their application within the business. Strong analysis skills including good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience

Post-qualification experience of working in finance within the insurance industry. Proven ability to influence business stakeholders. Previous exposure to Solvency or Investment reporting (nice to have). Qualifications

Maths, Science or Finance-related degree preferred. Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). What We Will Offer You
