Senior Fire Asset Auditor . While undertaking the same day-to-day duties as the Fire Asset Auditors, you will also provide them with line management support, coaching, development, and motivation, undertaking regular 121’s and appraisals to ensure your team is performing to an exceptionally high standard. We welcome applications from candidates based in and around the Midlands area. NB : There will also be the requirement for national travel, to cover for colleagues in other geographical locations. Why have we created this new team of Fire Door Auditors? Osterna performs fire asset compliance checks required by the Building Safety Act 2022. These regulations require all residential buildings in England with a fire height above 11 meters to have quarterly apartment door and communal door checks, and all residential buildings with a fire height above 18m to also have monthly fire asset checks. How will you do this? Travelling to various residential properties (predominantly blocks of apartments) within a specific geographical area, you will be responsible for ensuring the fire safety and compliance assets across these properties. You will be Osterna’s brand ambassador, interacting daily with our customers; therefore, it’s essential you have exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills and experience. You will receive full training/induction prior to undertaking your role, to ensure you’re confident in your day-to-day tasks.

Some of your key responsibilities are: Line Management of a remote team of Fire Asset Auditors, coaching and development via regular 121’s and appraisals, and undertaking absence/performance management when required. Conducting thorough inspections of fire safety assets, including (but not limited to) apartment doors, communal doors, emergency lighting, alarms, and lifts. Accurately reporting findings and ensuring all assets comply with health and safety regulations. Traveling daily to multiple sites locally, and occasionally nationwide to cover for colleagues. Working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate tenant and client requirements. Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications for our Senior Fire Door Auditor / Senior Fire Asset Auditor: Full UK driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle, with the ability to undertake national travel when required. Extensive people management experience. Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills. Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality assessments. Proficiency in IT packages, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively. Ability to walk numerous steps and navigate stairs during site visits. NB: the majority of the residential buildings will be blocks of flats. The return of a satisfactory Basic Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check. Preferred: Knowledge of health and safety legislation is advantageous. Experience undertaking door-to-door sales/visits to residential properties.
