Our client is one of the world's most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies. They are currently looking to appoint a Senior Fire Engineer to join their team across the UK, with preferred locations in Bristol, Epsom, London, or Derby.

Responsibilities of Senior Fire Engineer:

Work in a range of sectors from residential buildings through to rail transportation or new energy facilities. Manage multiple engineering projects from inception through to delivery in support of fire safety standards and codes. Support the delivery of project work within time and cost budgets. Keep up to date with regulations and legislation. Develop fire engineering solutions on projects and ensure the fire engineering strategy is delivered. Assess fire-related risks in projects and work collaboratively to mitigate where possible. Review and comment on the quality of fire safety related installations. Undertake tenders for new work. Prepare reports, take part in design team meetings, and liaise with client representatives as required.

Requirements for Senior Fire Engineer:

Engineering degree, preferably in fire engineering, or alternatively a postgraduate qualification in fire engineering (applicants with different backgrounds are also considered). Demonstrate a strong record of successfully delivering fire safety projects; experience in other sectors is strongly considered. Strong experience working with a range of fire standards including but not limited to BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545. Be customer and end-user centric and cultivate that philosophy in their team. Able to work towards chartered fire engineer status. A flexible approach to the working environment. Willingness to travel will be a positive advantage. Fire modelling experience will be beneficial. Good commercial awareness. Ability to collate information and have a clear and structured approach to report writing.
