The development, implementation and maintenance of firmware solutions on microcontroller-based systems End-to-end firmware and software development directly contributing to product development, product enhancement, sustaining production, regulatory compliance and validation testing Electronics circuit design and diagnosis Thoroughly debugging and testing to deliver successful product acceptance Impacting the design and build test-rigs, software and programs to support automated testing and validation To plan and produce deliverables objectives, on-cost and on-time, contributing to the team’s engineering and product development goals Generate, create and maintain effective documentation throughout firmware and software development Upskill to expand area of expertise taking on emerging challenges and opportunities presented by evolving technology There is occasional travel requirements and this includes visits to factories, offices, customer locations and suppliers. To apply for the role of Senior Firmware Engineer you will have the following background:
A track record of hands-on firmware development using microcontrollers, preferably within the STM32 and PIC32 ecosystem You hold a degree or higher qualification in the field of Electronics Engineering or a relevant field Over five years experience in microcontroller and system development Experience with both RTOS and bare-metal architectures an advantage Proficient in firmware programming using C and C++ and associated development toolchain such as STM Cube, Keil and MPLab to implement design effectively Experience with electronic circuit design, and skilled in interpreting and implementing designs. Experience with Spice and EDA tool an advantage Proficient with .Net programming languages such as C#, Visual Basic, Java and/or other object-oriented languages Working as a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the success of the business objectives.
