New Vision Bradford is a partnership between Waythrough, the Bridge Project, Project 6 and Create Strength Group offering a range of support for people experiencing issues with substances across the Bradford district. The Housing Support Team are an integral part of New Vision Bradford, targeting people with support needs and experiencing issues managing their own tenancies that may be impacting their recovery and overall stability. Our committed team works collaboratively with the treatment team to deliver an outstanding housing support service, which puts individuals first, empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations. The Floating Support Service will support people referred within New Vision Bradford by helping them to maintain their tenancy, working in the community and visiting people in their own homes. Senior Floating Support Worker.

The role is a combined leadership and support worker role. You will be an experienced professional who will carry a reduced caseload and deliver floating support worker tasks and support the Deputy Director by delivering day-to-day leadership through performing a range of leadership tasks. This role is full-time working 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2025, with continuation subject to funding. You must have a

driving licence and access to a vehicle

in order to carry out this role. We are looking for someone who has at least 2 years’ experience of casework, supporting individuals with vulnerabilities and/or challenging behaviour, ideally in a housing context, who can manage referrals and allocations into the service, provide casework supervision and undertake elements of training, induction and mentoring of staff. You will be an ideal fit if you are great with teams, ensuring that everyone stays focused whilst monitoring and developing the service to ensure that it runs smoothly. It is essential that you have experience of supervising staff and volunteers, have good communication and negotiating skills, are highly organised and can work independently. You will empower staff to promote hope, empowerment, choice and opportunities that assist service users reaching their full potential as individuals and community members.
