Confirmed role details
- The Senior Flood Risk Engineer will support the Flood Risk Manager in delivering the Council’s statutory duties as a Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) under the Flood and Water Man.
- Deliver LLFA statutory functions including surface water management, land drainage consenting, enforcement, and the investigation of flood incidents, consistent with Section 19 dut.
- Provide specialist technical advice on flood risk, drainage, SuDS design, and mitigation measures to support statutory planning and development control.
- Design and delivery of flood alleviation schemes, including feasibility studies, business cases, and partnership funding bids.
