The Senior Foreign Correspondent is an experienced journalist who can cover major global news stories in a high pressure environment.
They are an integral part of covering complex stories on the ground and also helping readers understand global news events through analysis and reflective features.
The correspondent’s role will include travel at short notice, at times to report from hostile environments.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for helping provide The Telegraph's coverage of major global news. Ability to react and adapt to the demands of a 24/7 online news environment. Report and write from a number of countries around the world. Provide longer form dispatches, features and analysis on key topics. Interest in digital storytelling and how to grow audiences online. Break ground by developing global exclusives. Essential Requirements
Significant journalistic experience of writing for a newspaper or website. Proven ability in filing clean copy to strict deadlines. Experience reporting from hostile environments. Deep understanding of world affairs and diplomacy. Desirable Skills
Languages. Experience reporting on defence issues. Comfortable with audio and broadcast journalism duties.
