We are now looking to recruit a highly experienced Senior FP&A analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A the role will assist the team with the production of the Group’s three year business plan, budget and rolling forecast; together with analysis and reporting to senior management to support decision making. We are looking for an individual who has previous management experience, although this is not essential. However you will have a proactive approach, strong thought leadership and critical mindset. You will have the ability to work independently, to challenge, build strong relationships and communicate well across the team and the wider business. What does the job involve? Assist with the preparation of the Group budget and reforecasting process, collaborating with product owners and cost centre managers Support the Group’s annual business planning process and the development and evolution of the three year business plan Draft reports to the Board and senior management Research macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions Ad hoc analysis to support decision making in the business, producing reports and projections based on the analysis conducted Develop simple financial models that address complex issues What we’re looking for: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant (minimum of 6years PQE in FP&A, or in a comparable role) Experience leading and managing a team (desirable but not essential) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint at an advanced level) Strong mathematical, financial analysis and critical thinking skills Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organisation Awareness of macroeconomic variables and how they impact business performance Ability to simplify the complex About us AJ Bell is one of the fastest-growing investment platform businesses in the UK offering an award-winning range of solutions that caters for everyone, from professional financial advisers, to DIY investors with little to no experience.
