What you`ll get up to as our Senior FP&A Manager The business has grown significantly over the last decade to become one of the leading players in the pet insurance market. We are looking to maintain that growth over the coming years. We are searching for a Senior FP&A Manager to own the financial planning function including the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and KPI reporting processes. You will collaborate with the business partners to gain business insights and work closely with the Group Finance Team and ensure the group deliverables are of high quality and submitted in accordance with group deadlines. Key accountabilities will include: Own the budgeting and forecasting processes, including: ensuring clarity of timelines/deadlines and that these are effectively communicated across the business ensuring that executive reviews are appropriately scheduled to ensure time for challenge & buy in across the business working with business partners to ensure inputs are received from the business in the correct format, are complete & are robustly understood. Maintain the forecasting/budgeting models to ensure they reflect the business’s operating strategy, agreed accounting treatment and Groups reporting requirements Act as ‘super-user’ for any future system-based forecasting/budgeting capabilities Maintain strong version control across all models & effective supporting documentation Ensure robust performance analysis is embedded within budget & forecast models Maintain integrity of forecasting/budgeting with monthly management accounts Lead analysis of potential business decisions including: development of standard & bespoke Excel models and, establishment/communication of standardised hurdle rates Work with business partners to ensure that business areas understand the impacts of proposals/decisions on the overall company strategy and performance Act as a finance business partner to the Programme Director Analyse and manage model risk Maintain records and support auditing activity as required Use insights from business partners to suggest opportunities to improve business performance Develop KPI dashboards for SLT members to monitor monthly performance vs targets. Prepare presentations and commentary for key stakeholder meetings including the AFI Board, Exco and Monthly Business Reviews. Contribute to the development and testing of a new financial planning model. Responsibility for ongoing management and maintenance of long-term financial planning model once live. Manage and mentor the FP&A analyst to ensure delivery of high-quality analysis and reporting. What we look for in you Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years of management responsibility. Advanced proficiency in Excel, bonus if prior experience with PowerBI. Substantial experience in planning, reporting, analysis and financial modelling in a fast-moving, high growth environment Substantial experience in forming budgets and forecasts for complex businesses and having managed multiple people to high performance. Experience of leading the transformation of company reporting or budgeting process Excellent communication, collaboration, and impactful presentation to non-financial stakeholders Experienced leader with strong track record of coaching and developing teams.
