Lead Frontend Engineer - Boutique Prop Trading Firm - London - Up to £150k Base + Excellent Bonus
A boutique, machine learning-focused prop trading firm in London is seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer to spearhead their frontend development team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to build a small team and take full ownership of the frontend stack, shaping both the technology and the team's direction with significant autonomy.
You'll work closely with front-office stakeholders, collaborating to develop advanced, sleek user interfaces that directly impact the team’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new applications and platforms to monitor and manage the firm’s trading strategies and technology infrastructure.
- Create tick-by-tick visualization tools that enhance front-office stakeholders' understanding of the market and strategy performance.
- Build real-time user interfaces to display Risk and PnL data.
Requirements:
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills, with extensive experience in React.
- Ideally, experience building front-office or market-interactive interfaces.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing complex web interfaces.
- Deep understanding of UI principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Proficient in testing and creating testable UIs.
- Some exposure to Java or Python to facilitate backend interactions is a plus.
