We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer who is passionate about building sleek, user-friendly and high-performance eCommerce websites on Shopify. As a senior member of our development team, you will lead frontend initiatives, mentor junior developers, and work closely with our design, product and backend teams to bring our brand’s vision to life. You’ll be responsible for implementing the latest frontend technologies and best practices to enhance our user experience and drive engagement and sales. Requirements Experience : 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, with a strong focus on

Shopify development (Liquid templating, Shopify themes, and Shopify API). Proficiency : Expert-level knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue etc.). Cross-Device Compatibility : Strong experience in creating responsive and cross-browser compatible designs. Optimisation Skills : Familiar with best practices for performance optimisation, including image compression, lazy loading, and code-splitting. Tooling & Version Control : Proficiency with development tools like Git, webpack, and task runners. Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent analytical skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimising the website for performance and SEO. Communication : Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and backend developers. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required). Bonus Skills Experience with Shopify Plus and headless Shopify implementations. Familiarity with server-side rendering frameworks (e.g., Next.js). Familiarity with A/B testing and personalisation tools to improve customer engagement and conversion rates. THE ROLE

Responsibilities Design & Development: Develop, maintain, and optimise our Shopify storefront, including custom themes, templates, and reusable components that align with our brand’s visual style and customer experience. User Experience: Work with UX/UI designers to turn wireframes, prototypes, and designs into high-quality, interactive pages and components. Performance Optimisation: Ensure a fast, responsive, and SEO-friendly user experience across all devices by optimising images, minimising code, and implementing best practices. Feature Implementation: Collaborate with product and backend teams to design and implement new features and functionality, ensuring seamless integration with Shopify’s Liquid framework and APIs. Quality Assurance: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, with thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure a high standard of quality. Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices in coding, architecture, and process.
