The FortiDLP platform collects millions of data points per second. Our users need a way to spot trends in this data, search for security breaches, and take effective action. That’s where we come in. We’re responsible for the FortiDLP web UI - a rich, performant web application that helps our users keep their businesses safe. Projects we’re currently working on: User customizable dashboards and reports Building out our new UI component library Making usability improvements to our search functionality We’re very proud of our development culture across R&D. We put security first, and our QA process ensures that our code is always of the highest quality. As well as writing excellent code, day-to-day responsibilities include: Working with the UX team to conceptualize, design, and implement new features. Bringing a technical perspective to discussions with stakeholders across the business. Participating in peer review of teammates’ work. Being proactive in taking ownership and suggesting improvements to the product. Staying up to date with the latest developments within design and technology. About you We primarily use Elm to build our web applications, but we don’t expect you to have used it before. The most important thing is that you have a passion for frontend development. If you are passionate about creating great user experiences and writing solid and maintainable code, then you are the person we are looking for. You’re not expected to have all of the following skills, but it would be valuable to have: Experience in a modern web framework like React or Vue Experience with Web APIs and the Web platform (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Web Components) Experience designing and consuming REST APIs Worked with continuous integration/deployment tools Led a team of any size or mentored other engineers Wants to design and implement new functionality in close collaboration with colleagues who work with product, user experience, and backend Wants to improve and optimize our application in terms of maintainability, performance, and security - both from customer feedback and using your initiative Right to work in the UK preferred
