The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining geospatial authoring tools and webapps using CesiumJS, focusing on creating interactive and dynamic 3D visualizations and maps. This role requires extensive experience with geospatial data, web technologies, 3D rendering, and specific experience with QGIS and Google Maps API. Key Responsibilities:Geospatial DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain geospatial applications using Javascript, CesiumJS.Create authoring tools (QGIS, Adobe Illustrator) and webapps for interactive and dynamic 3D visualizations to support various business needs.Data Integration and ManagementIntegrate various geospatial data sources, including vector, raster, and point cloud data, into CesiumJS applications.Ensure accurate and efficient data handling and processing.Performance OptimizationOptimize the performance of geospatial applications for smooth and responsive user experiences.Conduct regular performance tests and debugging to address bottlenecks.Collaboration and CommunicationWork closely with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.DocumentationCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation for geospatial applications, data integration processes, and APIs.Ensure documentation is accessible and up-to-date.Research and InnovationStay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to geospatial development and 3D visualization.Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance geospatial applications.ExperienceProven experience as a Geospatial Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of geospatial applications.Extensive experience with CesiumJS and 3D visualization.Demonstrated expertise in handling and processing geospatial data.Experience in developing QGIS plugins using Python and knowledge of QGIS or similar GIS software.Technical SkillsProficiency in CesiumJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Strong understanding of WebGL and 3D rendering techniques.Experience with geospatial data formats and standards (e.g., GeoJSON, KML, Shapefiles).Experience with Google Maps API.Knowledge of GIS software and tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS).Soft SkillsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong English communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.EducationBachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Preferred QualificationsExperience with other geospatial libraries and frameworks.Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs for geospatial data handling.Understanding of cloud services and containerization (e.g., AWS, Azure).Why People Love Working HereWe offer meaningful work and opportunities for career growthCompetitive SalaryComprehensive benefit package (Medical, Dental, Vision)Paid vacation and general holidaysEducation AllowanceEmployee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP)
