The selected candidate will be provided with the resources and support to take on new responsibilities, develop skills, and lead a team through technically challenging projects. The Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer will be involved in a range of commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include: Designing geotechnical structures including retaining walls, slopes, foundations, and infrastructure. Carrying out desktop studies and scoping ground investigations. Overseeing ground investigations. Mentoring junior team members. Business development responsibilities including client networking, bidding, and tendering. Building a team. Minimum Requirements: To be considered for the Geotechnical Design Engineer position, you should have: Experience as a Geotechnical Design Engineer. A strong understanding of soil mechanics. A degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a geotechnical focus), or similar (MSc preferred). A full and clean UK Driving Licence. Residence in or near York.
