We pride ourselves on being among the safest and most forward-thinking companies. Join us and be part of our mission to innovate, develop, and build a sustainable future together. Role Objective

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Health and Safety Business Partner to join our Contracting division. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing our health and safety framework, ensuring conformity and driving improvement initiatives across our contracting operations. We are looking for an engaged professional who can help cultivate a robust safety culture and collaborate effectively with diverse teams, whilst communicating effectively with Tier 1 suppliers to enhance and develop relationships. This is a hybrid role, with time split between the Head Office in Leicester and across our network of sites, spread across the country, so national travel will be required. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety strategies in line with the company's objectives. Ensure stringent compliance with all health, safety, and environmental legislation, advocating for best practices organization-wide. Lead discussions, communications, and interactions with key external stakeholders, existing clients, and potential future customers. Conduct thorough risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement preventive measures. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior management, guiding informed decisions towards safety leadership. Lead investigations into incidents to determine root causes and propose corrective actions. Design and deliver training programs to boost safety awareness and skills across the workforce. Work with operational teams to study incident data and create initiatives to mitigate future risks. About You

Possess a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in occupational health and safety. Demonstrable experience in a senior health and safety role in the Highways, Civil Engineering, Utilities, Rail, or Oil and Gas industries would be an advantage but is not essential. Proven ability to develop and execute health and safety strategies effectively. Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical skills to evaluate risks and enforce suitable safety interventions. Proficient with safety management systems and data analysis tools. Comfortable working in a collaborative setting with solid independent decision-making skills. Benefits

Competitive Salary, performance bonus, car/car allowance, 25 days holiday plus local bank holidays, and a suite of benefits acknowledging your contribution. Join a respected team with a strong focus on health and safety, working in a supportive and inclusive environment. Access professional growth opportunities domestically and internationally (through our parent company, Holcim). Engage with employee affinity groups to enhance workplace influence and community. Employee discounts on garden landscaping products. Access to a Virtual GP service 24/7, 365 days a year. At Aggregate Industries, we are dedicated to fostering a diverse workplace. We are an equal opportunity employer and consideration for employment is given without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or age.
