Full job description As a Senior Health Care Assistant at The Canary Care, you will play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents. You will work alongside our dedicated care team to ensure that all residents receive high-quality, person-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Monitor and record residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.

Assist in the administration of medication as per guidelines and support residents with mobility needs.

Promote a safe and healthy environment, ensuring all care practices comply with regulatory standards.

Mentor and train junior staff and new team members, fostering a positive team culture.

Engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance their physical and emotional well-being.

Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members, ensuring a supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant in a care home setting.

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Strong understanding of care practices and standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A compassionate and patient approach to care.
