Senior Health Care Assistant - Plastic Surgery Outpatients

Have you considered nursing in Outpatients? The Plastic Surgery Outpatient Team would welcome applications from Senior Health Care Assistants who enjoy working independently and within a team in providing patient-focused care. This is a part-time role of 33.0 hours per week over three days with shift pattern hours of 8am to 5pm to meet the demands of the service. The successful candidate will join a well-established team and will need to be flexible and adaptable, a good team player with the ability to work well on their own initiative, and willing to take on a variety of duties while maintaining attention to detail. You will ideally have knowledge or experience within plastic surgery and/or surgical runner skills. Within this role, there are numerous learning opportunities. Highlighted below are some of the nursing skills needed for a fast-paced working area such as Plastic Surgery Outpatients: The ability to work both independently and as part of the wider Multidisciplinary Team. Supporting and assisting your consultant colleagues in the smooth running of their clinics. Acting as a chaperone. Surgical scrub skills for supporting our outpatient minor surgical and emergency trauma lists. However, if you do not have these skills, we will support you in obtaining competencies to support this service. As part of the Plastic Surgery nursing team, you will support our qualified staff in undertaking all aspects of outpatient care including clinics, simple wound dressings, and runner in minor operations. If you do not already possess circulating skills, additional training will be given to support you in this role. About us

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. £24,071 to £25,674 a year per annum pro rata if part-time.
