We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our residents with complex care needs, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and support. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality care and support to residents with brain and spinal injuries. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and feeding. Administer medication and monitor residents' health, reporting any changes to the nursing team. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity. Lead and mentor junior healthcare assistants, providing guidance and training as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and best practices. Requirements: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with individuals with brain and spinal injuries - desirable. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or willingness to work towards - mandatory. Strong understanding of complex care needs and the ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care - mandatory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - mandatory. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team - mandatory. Leadership skills and experience in mentoring or supervising staff - desirable.
