Role Overview: As a Senior Healthcare Assistant (SHCA), you will play a vital leadership role in our care team. Reporting to the Deputy Manager, you will lead by example, providing compassionate, high-quality care while supervising and coaching healthcare assistants. You will also ensure compliance with policies, advocate for residents, and support the smooth running of the home. Key Responsibilities: Deliver exemplary healthcare assistant duties, promoting person-centred care. Supervise and coach HCAs, conducting supervisions, competency reviews, and inductions for new and agency staff. Assist with care planning, audits, and home management tasks. Support Registered General Nurses (RGNs) to observe and provide care to residents. Engage with residents, families, and medical professionals to ensure high levels of satisfaction and well-being.
