The role is of a Senior Health Care Assistant working alongside and supporting the pre-operative assessment practitioners in ensuring patients receive optimum care and are fully prepared prior to surgery. The role will involve maintaining a clean and tidy department, along with performing some administrative duties as requested by the senior team.
The primary responsibilities include:
Performing venepuncture Conducting ECGs MRSA screening with the collection of urine samples Supporting the surgical wards by ensuring timely collection of blood samples
Following appropriate training and assessment, and under the direction of a Registered Healthcare Professional, you will undertake: Urine testing / urine analysis ECG recording Glucose monitoring Wound care using ANTT Venepuncture as per Trust policy, reporting results to the Registered Healthcare Professional on duty.
Chaperone the patient as required, ensuring appropriate support.
