Develop and deliver concept, preliminary, and detailed highway designs. Prepare calculations, technical reports, and oversee drawing checks. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues. Develop project task budgets and programmes to achieve delivery targets. Attend client meetings and liaise with stakeholders to ensure project success. Undertake site visits, inspections, and investigations as needed. Actively contribute to implementing CDM duties on projects. Communicate effectively with the design team, clients, and contractors. Requirements of the role:
Significant experience in a design team environment. Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and working towards professional qualification. Strong knowledge of DMRB design standards. Proven experience in leading teams and providing technical oversight. Business development skills, including fee estimation and proposal preparation. Proficiency in 2D CAD and Civils 3D design software. Sound knowledge of financial management and experience managing multiple projects. Strong commercial and contractual acumen. Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety requirements and CDM duties. Benefits:
