At Yorkshire Ambulance Service, our vision is to be trusted as the best urgent and emergency care provider with the best people and partnerships, delivering the best outcomes for patients.
Our workforce is central to achieving this vision, and we are committed to attracting and recruiting the best talents in all areas of the service.
We have immediate opportunities for experienced HR professionals to join us in one of two Senior HR Advisor roles as we go through a period of cultural change with increased activity levels, exciting projects and increased organisational change.
There are two posts available: one in our People Strategy Team, which will be assigned to a specific service area and carry a case load of ER cases and serve as a senior point of contact for managers, as well as undertaking policy development, supporting change management projects, sitting on formal panels, and line managing at least one HR Advisor. The other post is based in our People Services Team and will focus on supporting the HR Business Partner for People Services with the delivery of people-related projects that support transformation across the Trust.
For both posts, we are looking for experienced people professionals with a sound understanding of the complexities of large, diverse organisations in practice.
Please clearly indicate on your application which post you are most interested in applying for.
Main duties of the job
Working within our People and Organisation Development directorate, with the support of a strategic HR Business Partner, you will be an operational HR lead for a specific service area or work agenda. Through your work, you will support our managers to deliver the best approach to people management.
The skills that will be of most importance are: developing good relationships across the service, the HR team, and the Trust, championing good practice, plus an awareness of the broader landscape in which our services operate, and being able to practice all of this in accordance with our values.
You will work alongside a great team of HR and OD professionals, as well as diversity and inclusion and health and well-being specialists within our People and OD Directorate, to deliver the best possible holistic approach to people management.
