Stantec is seeking a Hydrogeologist to supervise the hydrogeological and environmental aspects of existing projects across the UK. This position offers the potential for experience in a wide range of exciting and challenging hydrogeological projects and the potential for strong career growth for an enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate.

Our expanding workload in groundwater resources and contaminated land-related work means we are actively recruiting to support our growing team that specialises in these areas. We seek energetic and innovative staff that can deliver our solution-oriented services to our existing and new clients.

This role will be based in our Midlands offices (Derby, Shrewsbury, Redditch and central Birmingham), although we would be happy to negotiate with the right candidate. You will support projects across the UK and international projects could also be available to the right candidate. We also expect that our new Senior Hydrogeologist will be in the office 3 days per week, mentoring others and leading the delivery of our projects.

About you

As a very experienced hydrogeologist or hydrologist, you will be familiar with the regulatory, business, and policy environment in which our clients operate and have the capacity to communicate effectively with our clients. You will have an appropriate MSc or a PhD with extensive post-graduate experience in sustainable abstraction projects. Experience in National Environmental Programmes, Environmental Destinations, and Sustainable Abstraction pieces of work is an advantage.

Applicants must demonstrate skills in site activities, factual and interpretative reporting, data management, analysis, and presentation of results. The individual will be able to demonstrate an ability to produce high-quality oral and written communications. Good time management and presentation skills and a flexible attitude are also essential to working within our busy and dynamic team.

Chartership or a significant commitment to obtain chartership is essential. Progress to chartership will be fully supported.
