Job Description As part of a customer-facing team supporting sonar systems and other defence equipment In-Service, your responsibilities will include: Delivering In-Service support, working closely with Project Managers, Project Engineering Leads, System Design Authorities, and customers. Responding proactively to technical issues, fault reports, and queries. Collaborating with the engineering team to develop technically and commercially acceptable solutions. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults remotely or on customer sites when necessary. Monitoring system performance, supporting root cause analysis, and identifying improvement opportunities. Supporting inspection and preventative maintenance programs. Ensuring customer equipment remains safe and suitable for continued use. Working with field support teams on defect investigations, surveys, integration, and testing. Maintaining Integrated Logistics Support documentation and implementing change requests as required. Highlighting resource conflicts or constraints to project management. Following engineering best practices to enhance performance and promote continuous improvement. Supporting obsolescence strategies for product lines. Skills, Qualifications, and Experience We're looking for a dynamic, professional engineer with experience in high-tech or regulated industries. You will have: A higher diploma or bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related field (newly qualified candidates will be considered). Experience in engineering across any phase of the lifecycle. Experience executing support tasks on engineering projects. Experience in technical diagnostics of systems and equipment. Examples of working under tight deadlines in challenging contexts. A background in maritime equipment would be beneficial. Personal Attributes We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, a problem solver, and passionate about supporting customers. You should: Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers. Be well-organized with good self-management skills. Take responsibility for the quality and timeliness of your work. Have strong people management skills, attention to detail, and report writing ability. Cooperate well with others to achieve outstanding outcomes. Be eligible of achieving Security Clearance (SC) or higher with no caveats. Hold or be willing to obtain a full driving license for occasional travel to other sites, customer, and supplier locations.
