Due to the secure nature of the project - All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (DV) level. Due to the secure access of systems, this position will require onsite attendance in Gloucester.

Your future duties and responsibilities Step into the role of Senior Infrastructure Engineer and become an integral part of our collaborative team, united by a shared dedication to a transformative IT infrastructure program of utmost importance. This initiative brings together over 100 of our top-tier UK consultants, pooling our expertise to engineer resilient, enterprise-scale Cloud infrastructure solutions for our esteemed government client.

Notably, this program represents a cornerstone of our UK operations, showcasing the magnitude and intricacy of infrastructure development unlike anything we've undertaken before. Join us in shaping the future of IT infrastructure on a grand scale, where your contributions will be pivotal in driving forward this ambitious endeavour.

Key Tasks: Seamlessly integrating development outputs into release modules. Spearheading their progression through relevant stages into operational service. Navigating the release-to-service process, including security and accreditation procedures. Providing invaluable technical insights and expertise on designs, solutions, tools, techniques, and standards. Hands-on development of pragmatic solutions for real-world challenges. Troubleshooting, investigating, and resolving incidents.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role Windows and/or Redhat Linux server administration. Expertise in configuration and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Foreman. Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Command over virtualization technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenShift. Sound grasps of network fundamentals encompassing DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and HTTP. Knowledge of Azure and AWS Cloud Technologies. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Java, PowerShell, and Bash.
