Senior Installation Engineer
for one of our clients based in Cambridge. The role
Mentoring junior engineers, being one of the site leads on small to large scale installations. The role includes some planning responsibility along with pre-installation surveys, service visits and supporting the Project Management team where appropriate. The role is heavily reliant on being able to work independently and as part of a team, using your skills as a
Crestron/Extron/Qsys
programmer with network knowledge to be able to configure and program the AV systems they supply, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), meeting spaces, teaching spaces, public areas and large capacity venues. Essential skills:
Cable termination and soldering including CAT cabling Fixings and securing heavy equipment in a safe manner Good Level of Networking Knowledge Experience using and configuring Digital Signal Processing (DSP – Qsys, Biamp or others) Experienced in programming AV platforms such as Crestron, Extron, Qsys, RTI control systems, Bright sign Microsoft Office and basic IT skills Full UK Driver License Good communication (client facing role) Desirable skills:
Advanced Networking knowledge (VLANs, QoS, Subnetting and ACL) Face to face training of end users. Ability to impart your knowledge onto junior team members Key Responsibilities include:
Rack build and AV system preparation as instructed by Project Managers On-site AV system installations as instructed by Project Managers Carry out service & maintenance visits as required Carry out/assist with site surveys and provide accurate feedback Provide technical AV support to clients by telephone or in person Attend industry & product specific training as and when requested Preparation of equipment prior to despatch and installation Delivery and collection of equipment If you have the skills and experience, please apply now
