Senior International Tax Manager / Director (Centrica Energy)

to lead tax business partnering for Centrica Energy across our expanding global operations. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, mitigating risks, and enhancing operational efficiencies. This position requires a strong understanding of transfer pricing and the energy commodity sector, complex cross-border transactions, and regulatory environments. This role can be based out of our Aalborg, Antwerp, Copenhagen or London offices, with occasional travel required to other Centrica Energy offices. Here’s what we need you to do: Tax Business Partnering Develop, implement, and maintain global tax business partnering strategies Ensure alignment with the overall tax strategy of Centrica Plc and commercial strategies of Centrica Energy Advise on the tax and transfer pricing implications for new business models, transactions, and strategic initiatives, accessing subject matter expertise from the wider Group Tax team or external advisers, as required. Compliance & Documentation Manage the preparation of all tax and transfer pricing returns and documentation in accordance with international guidelines and local regulations across jurisdictions, working closely with internal and external preparers Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax and transfer pricing returns and documentation to meet statutory deadlines. Audit & Risk Management Support and manage tax and transfer pricing audits and disputes globally, liaising with tax authorities, internal colleagues and external advisors Mitigate risks by conducting periodic reviews and assessments of tax and transfer pricing positions Proactively monitor changes in international tax and transfer pricing legislation (OECD BEPS initiatives, local regulatory updates) and assess their impact on the business. Stakeholder Management Collaborate with internal teams including the wider Group Tax team, Finance, Legal, and Commercial (Origination and Trading teams) to ensure timely, relevant and commercially focused advice is provided to the business Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders across Centrica Energy Report on Key Performance Indicators to senior stakeholders including the Head of Tax and the Centrica Energy CFO Work closely with external advisors and tax authorities when required to address tax and transfer pricing issues and audits Provide training and guidance to internal commercial teams and other stakeholders on tax and transfer pricing matters. What we’re looking for: Excellent international tax experience and ideally an accounting / tax qualification Experience in tax and transfer pricing within the energy, commodity trading and / or financial services sectors Excellent business partnering experience Understanding of the energy commodity trading business, including physical and financial trading operations and value chain dynamics Knowledge of corporate structures and intercompany pricing related to commodities, derivatives, and financial instruments Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and international environment Strong business acumen and the ability to connect tax and transfer pricing strategies with overall business goals.
