An exciting opportunity to join the Fiduciary Management (FM) team as a Senior Analyst on a permanent basis, based in London (Hybrid working).

The role As the Senior Analyst you will support driving forward an ambitious research agenda across asset allocation, asset class strategy, and capital market and macro assumptions. You will leverage the research agenda to contribute to strategic asset allocation (SAA) decisions leading to better client outcomes and efficient investment implementation.

This role will also play a key role in maintaining and innovating analytical research tools and datasets. To ensure SAA research and insights are embedded in the overall investment process, you will liaise with key stakeholders across the business on a regular basis. Railpen’s SAA function is rapidly developing so the candidate will have a great opportunity to make a material impact from early on.

The person The successful candidate will have experience of producing impactful investment research whilst working collaboratively with colleagues to balance quantitative and qualitative aspects. Demonstrable experience of building and managing datasets and developing investment models, including best practice user testing and version control process, is key for this role, with proficiency in coding being an advantage. We are looking for a candidate with a good understanding of economic and market drivers and portfolio construction theory to allow you to work with the broader Strategic Investment Research function to deliver a suite of research analytics to support the team’s research agenda.

We are looking for someone who is proactive and a creative thinker. A deep passion for long-term multi asset investing with a constant learning mindset will help you thrive in the role. You will also be an effective communicator with the ability to positively challenge the views of colleagues within the organisation whilst remaining open minded to challenge in respect to your own views.
