The role
Joining Fasanara’s global Investor Relations team, you will have responsibility for sourcing and closing capital commitments from a broad range of target investors, primarily across the UK and Europe, into Fasanara’s class-leading alternative and private credit strategies. Fasanara currently has approx. $4bn assets under management - this role will play a crucial part in scaling this to $10bn and beyond over the next couple of years.
Our existing investors are primarily insurance and pension funds across Europe and North America, with an increasing number of private banks, family offices and other allocators from those regions and further afield.
We are looking for a senior capital formation professional with significant experience marketing to, and breaking into, new investor groups and generating new capital formation opportunities, with a focus on UK and EMEA. Our team enjoy support from our well-established Client Solutions team that run our due diligence and client onboarding processes, as well as full marketing and presentation support.
Responsibilities
Drive fundraising strategies to attract new capital and grow AuM, with a strong focus on the UK and EMEA. Build and nurture relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and other key sources, leveraging your network to accelerate the sales pipeline. Deliver compelling presentations and lead investor meetings, clearly articulating our investment philosophy and value proposition. Represent the firm at conferences and roadshows. Collaborate with the CEO and Investor Relations team to create and refine marketing strategies, ensuring full coverage of target investors and efficient prioritization. Work with Investor Relations to develop engaging marketing materials and insights, aligning with strategic goals to strengthen the brand and meet investor needs globally. Provide leadership and mentorship to the London IR team, driving growth, development, and the implementation of best practices for increased effectiveness. Maintain deep expertise in flagship strategies and industry trends, positioning the firm competitively in the market.
What excites us in a candidate
Strong experience in capital formation and investor relations within hedge funds or alternative asset management. Prior exposure on the buy-side, particularly in private credit, alternative credit, SME, or consumer lending, is advantageous. Proven track record in raising capital from institutional investors, family offices, endowments, foundations, and trusts across the UK and EMEA. Strong network of relationships with investors specializing in credit investments. Exceptional financial literacy to effectively communicate complex investment strategies in client-focused discussions. Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills to cultivate productive relationships and influence stakeholders. Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on enhancing the firm's brand and market presence strategically. Fluent in English with excellent communication skills; proficiency in additional European languages is a bonus. Willingness to travel as necessary to engage with investors and participate in industry events.
