We’re looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join our team in Kings Hill, West Malling. As a Senior IT Engineer at Westfalia Fruit, you'll play a vital role in our IT Operations Team, providing expert 3rd line support. You'll be the go-to expert for complex technical issues. This includes troubleshooting system problems, implementing innovative solutions, and ensuring our IT infrastructure runs seamlessly. Responsibilities include: Provide accurate Level 3 support for problems with hardware and software and access to systems. Manage & troubleshoot requests via our ticketing system with occasional walk-ups and phone calls when the end user cannot access the ticketing system or in case of urgency. Maintain and improve the Azure environment, including configuration, security, patching, backup policies, server administration (including VMs), and storage management. Provide system and network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, internet access, office systems and applications support). Contribute to new projects, renewals, and improvements to the infrastructure. Maintain and improve existing systems while ensuring a proactive approach to system optimisation and security. Collaborate with 1st and 2nd Line Support teams to ensure seamless escalation processes. Work as part of a team and alongside other departments to contribute to ongoing service enhancements. Key Requirements: Strong technical experience of administering domains, Office365 and Intune environments. Proficient with Mobile device management including Apple and Android applications. Understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs, VPN’s, IP’s, public DNS and firewalling). Comfortable supporting with local user support (all Tier 0 to 3 support). Knowledge of Azure - Entra AD, VM's, Gateway, enterprise applications and network connections. Ability to implement and effectively develop helpdesk and IT operations best practices on-site and remotely. Experience with establishing laptop setups, OOBE and automation (Azure). Exposure to O365, Teams, exchange, email filtering and managed Wi-Fi (Meraki). Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. Desirable: Experience with Scripting, CMD and PowerShell is advantageous. Exposure to using the platform SharePoint. Prior experience with documenting new processes. SQL database management and query. Knowledge with Print servers and label printers. Experience with IP phones and Azure MFA would be beneficial. Understanding of Group policy. Familiarity with Adobe reader and license server are desirable.
