We are eager to hire a Senior IT Support Engineer who is keen to learn, is a goal-oriented self-starter, and who will take ownership of the position. You will be joining a team responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation & maintenance of systems, hardware, software & all IT Operational Services. The post holder will work as part of the IT function of Parkingeye to provide technical support and advice to users as well as fellow team members. This is a senior role within the IT function, and a higher level of technical skill is required to take ownership with confidence of the server estate as well as driving continual service improvement. This is a hands-on role that will be split between technical support and project delivery within the Parkingeye service portfolio. Key Duties & Responsibilities

Provide first through to third line technical support in relation to desktop and software issues, ensuring users receive a prompt and responsive service whilst making sure all stakeholders are kept fully up to date with their calls. Setup and configure desktop devices, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Provide an accurate and complete log of work requests for jobs received, ensuring the ServiceDesk system is updated regularly. Carry and move equipment including desktop machines and keep the asset register up to date. Maintain and monitor all network, security and computer systems to meet the organization's current and future requirements. Ability to technically lead major IT incidents. Interact and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and contractors. Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends. Demonstrate team leading skills and the ability to prioritize workloads for yourself and others. Mentor more junior team members. Become an advocate for continual service improvement and evolve the service to enhance IT service excellence. Formal Qualifications & Experience

Essential

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Microsoft Office 365. Experience of working with Cloud Technologies (Azure). Proactive monitoring of systems and services. Experience using Virtual machines/desktops. Strong technical background in a services environment including infrastructure, networks, hardware, software, and telecommunications. Experience with incident tracking, systems, and effective monitoring and triaging. Ability to identify incident trends to elevate incidents in accordance with standard protocols. Experience using automated monitoring and centralized patching tools. Ability to maintain good working relationships internally and with third-party service providers and vendors. Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to resolve and escalate issues raised. Security standards and governance discipline awareness. Desirable

ITIL Certified. Microsoft or Azure Certified. Degree in Computer/IT Related discipline or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years prior experience in the IT Industry. Personal Attributes & Skills

Ability to investigate problems. Patient & methodical with an aptitude for problem-solving. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Self-motivated & able to work on own initiative but also as part of a team. Ability to be flexible around working hours and open to working weekends and bank holidays.
