You'll step into a leadership role when needed, acting as the go-to expert for complex challenges and guiding a dedicated tech team to success. This role is perfect for someone with solid 3rd-line support experience or an experienced 2nd-line engineer ready to move up. This role is offering a salary of circa £36-39k plus benefits and will be on-site in Grimsby 5 days a week. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Support:

Act as an escalation point for complex IT issues, helping the team troubleshoot and resolve problems. Maintain Systems:

Manage and support our physical and virtual servers (VMWare) and cloud services like Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, and Teams. Project Work:

Contribute to IT projects, such as network upgrades and cloud migrations, helping modernize our infrastructure. Ensure Security:

Apply critical updates, manage firewalls, and ensure compliance with Cyber Essentials standards. Hands-On Problem Solving:

Troubleshoot network, Wi-Fi, and system performance issues. User Support:

Assist staff and students with IT issues and create guides to help them use systems effectively. Take Initiative:

Step in for the IT Manager when required, gaining leadership experience and guiding the team through challenges. What You Bring:

Experience in 3rd-line support or a solid background in 2nd-line support with a desire to advance. Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365. Experience with network infrastructure and cloud systems. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex problems. A proactive attitude and good time-management skills.
