We are looking for a versatile Senior Laboratory Technician to join our growing team in Bristol. The successful candidate will have at least 2-3 years experience in a Material Testing Laboratory environment and be a keen team player. Role Objectives:

To produce test results in accordance with documented procedures, standards and specifications. To ensure that the laboratory is maintained in compliance with UKAS and Company requirements. To supervise and assist in the training, motivation and deployment of staff. To ensure the laboratory is a safe, clean and tidy environment in which to work. Core Responsibilities:

To work in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy. To carry out allocated work as directed by the Laboratory Manager in accordance with documented in-house procedures, in an expeditious manner. To integrate into the team and maintain strong harmony and morale throughout the laboratory. To ensure the control of incoming and stored test specimens. To liaise with the Laboratory Manager as appropriate, in the day-to-day running of the laboratory. To assist in the maintenance of records relating to the Management System Data entry of important test results. To follow stringent quality procedures to perform testing. To carry out various soil, concrete, and asphalt tests throughout the lab. To liaise with the quality department to book in calibration or report equipment failure. To maintain good laboratory practice, maintenance of laboratory equipment, and safe working procedures. To perform any other tasks assigned by the lab manager. To assist with UKAS Audits and ensure the current turnaround times for in-house testing are being met. Experience / Skills:

Educated to GCSE level or above with a good level of numeracy and literacy. IT literate. Minimum 2-3 years experience in a Material Testing Laboratory environment. Our Values:
