Senior Laboratory Technician (24,000 to £28,000)

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a committed and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a dependable, dedicated, and flexible Senior Laboratory Technician to join our UKAS accredited GI/Materials team. As a member of the laboratory team, it is key that you are able to thrive in a team environment, as well as working independently. Fundamentally, the role requires you to determine the physical properties of a wide range of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates, and bituminous mixtures to ensure compliance with specifications. All testing will be undertaken in line with a range of British, European, and American standards, so a good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures is required. Occasional travel to other SOCOTEC laboratories may be required.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
Preparing and Testing soil to BS 1377/ BS EN 17892
Compactions and Machine Testing to BS1377/BS EN 17892
Demonstrate tests for UKAS audits
About Materials/Geotechnical Testing:
Our Testing team performs an extensive range of testing and compliance services across a wide range of construction projects including highways, rail, airfields, ports and harbours, power stations, and sports stadia, in addition to new-build projects across industrial, commercial, and residential properties.
