To work as part of the team and improve Company profitability and margins by efficient land acquisition (and trading where applicable). In addition to identifying, contracting, and acquiring land specifically required by budget or forecast, within the parameters of quantity, quality, time, and margins as may be defined by the Directors of the Company from time to time. Key responsibilities include: Identifying and appraisal of suitable development land Negotiating terms of the contract for the acquisition of suitable sites Determining appropriate and efficient scheme development of identified and contracted property Progressing contracts within agreed terms and timescales Managing appeals in conjunction with the planning team against the refusal of planning permission Managing promotion of development on contracted acquired land through development plan process Monitoring ongoing contractual obligations Monitoring, assessing, and commenting on the planning process Researching and monitoring competitors' land and product Preparation and issue of reports and sign-off material for land acquisition Periodically assist the Land Director in the review and finalisation of the business Land Strategy to ensure strategically focused and well set out planned approach to delivery of operational land to satisfy the Business Plan objectives. Develop the building, maintaining and enhancing of a contacts network. Promoting the company profile and participate in building up of the Company’s presence in our identified market areas Work towards ensuring effective delivery of the business plan targets and delivers an ‘effective’ land supply that: A. Meets customers' desires in terms of locations in which to live

Maximises financial returns of the operational business by securing land off market as a preferred land acquisition model Identifies opportunities and proactively sets in place individual plans to secure targeted sites

Financial and operational performance Manage the land bid and land acquisition processes effectively and maintain requisite records and reports accurately Maximise the benefits of and deliver continuous improvement to current business processes Selling land as directed The Candidate Personal Profile A highly motivated, personable individual who will be a key member of a small experienced construction team helping the business deliver high quality homes on budget and on time. Knowledge Excellent knowledge of the land identification and appraisal processes High level of proficiency in various computer packages including MSOffice, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Skills Excellent written, verbal and listening skills Reliable and flexible Decisive and acts on own initiative Effective at building relationships and networking Self-motivated and pro-active Excellent planning and organisational skills Ability to show a high level of confidentiality Willing to take on new responsibilities Portrays a positive image of self and Deanfield Homes at all times Experience Proven experience in a similar role Educated to degree level in Estate Management/Town Planning or similar
