£39,513 - £43,693 pro rata per year. This is a part-time, temporary post until at least 31 March 2026 but with potential for contract extension. Swansea Council is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Landscape Architect preferably with 5 years or more professional experience to join the Landscape and Green Infrastructure Team, working on a variety of prestigious, climate-resilient and innovative projects across the City and County. Candidates must have a creative mindset and a passion for designing sustainable, biodiverse schemes, and have a clear understanding of relevant legislation and policies. Excellent communication skills are required together with the ability to deliver succinct technical information and collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Proven experience of landscape design projects, community/stakeholder engagement, project management, and CDM Regs is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality work and excellent horticultural and technical landscape architectural knowledge is required. The successful candidate will be diligent, professional, and enthusiastic with experience of designing SuDS. They will be expected to maintain up to date C.P.D. to enhance design and working practices and act as the professional lead on the design and development of projects from concept design, design development, technical/tender stages, and construction to final delivery within budget and specified timescales. The role will be flexible/hybrid to suit both home and office working, and good knowledge of the area is desirable. This is a part-time, temporary post until at least the end of March 2026 but with potential for contract extension.
