Do you have a passion for Learning and Development? We're looking for a Senior Learning & Development Manager, to drive us forward in developing and implementing a comprehensive learning and development strategy for the Bank, supporting the delivery of the Bank's objectives, aligning to the Strategic Blueprint. You'll also be responsible for designing the framework to enhance employee skills, knowledge, performance, ultimately contributing to employee engagement, retention, and organisational success. You'll embed external best practices, latest trends, and research, incorporating these into the strategies and programmes as appropriate, aligning closely with strategic workforce plans. Working as part of a close-knit team, residing in the newly formed Talent centre of excellence, reporting directly to the Director of Talent. You'll also support the Strategic People Solutions team and Strategic People Partners forming a community of practice to share technical expertise to ensure the learning strategy is executed effectively with the business. If you are an internal employee - this role will be offered as a 6-8-month secondment. The difference you'll make: Leading on the design and framework of the Bank's Learning strategy, ensuring alignment to strategic workforce plans, ensuring an employee centricity mindset. Acting as a pure SME for Learning, co-creating our Learning strategy for the future, working closely with HR teams and senior leaders across the Bank, driving strategies locally with a global mindset aligned to Santander Group. Designing and establishing what types of skills, training, learning and development the Bank will require, horizon scanning in the external market, bringing the outside in, understanding trends and market conditions to help support strategic workforce planning. Driving a community of practice, responsible for being a trainer, coach, and facilitator for the Strategic People Solutions team, sharing technical CoE experiences and skills. Delivering on our learning strategy for the future, working closely with the Strategic Talent Lead, Recruitment & Onboarding Strategy Lead, Strategic Workforce Planning Lead, and Strategic People Partners. Building excellent working relationships and collaboration across HR and the wider business, including managing relationships with senior leaders. What you'll bring: These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role: Excellent understanding of Learning technical expertise, and how to analyse and communicate this in a clear and meaningful way. Awareness and understanding of the wider business from a strategic approach, economic and market environment in which the Bank operates, and how this would connect to the Strategic Blueprint. Effective team player, collaborator, and networker across the HR function and wider Bank. It would also be nice for you to have: Customer obsessed to provide a super people experience with commercial awareness. Brilliant interpersonal and leadership skills, persuades and influences others to achieve prioritised deliverables with a data-driven mindset. Ability to present and engage with Senior Executives on recommendations, being curious and adaptable, building collaborative relationships. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Management, or equivalent. Global strategic thinker would be advantageous. What else you need to know: This role is based in Milton Keynes. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles). How we'll reward you. As well as a competitive salary, you'll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs. Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus. We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don't contribute yourself. We'll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer. 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year. £6,000 car allowance per year.
