The opportunity Do you have a strong understanding of leaves and absences, as well as excellent problem-solving skills? Unity Technologies, a fast-paced organization, is looking for an experienced Leave & Absence Specialist - EMEA who would be responsible for coordinating leave of absence programs for a fast-paced, global software company. This includes processing leave & absence requests, working with third party vendors/brokers, providing guidance to employees and managers, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Join our Wellbeing Org in this new Senior Leave & Absence Specialist role that partners with both our global benefits and HR teams. What you'll be doing Leave & Absence: Manage, process and administer EMEA + India absence-related claims including short-term and long-term absences due to illness, injury, or other reasons and leave requests including maternity/paternity leave and all other types of leave ensuring compliance with Unity's policies and local legal regulations. Absence management: Liaise with employees, HRBPs, and brokers to gather and coordinate necessary documentation for new claims, ongoing claims management and return-to-work processes. Policy & Compliance: Provide guidance to employees, managers and HRBPs on leave & absence rights and responsibilities based on EMEA countries and India. Keep up to date on local and regional legislative changes, recommend/advise on changes accordingly and educate stakeholders - HRBPs and compliance on changes. System administration: Ensure leave and absence types on Workday are configured and accurately maintained on Workday according to countries' laws, regulations, and Unity policies. What we're looking for A subject matter expert with strong experience in leave & absence laws and regulations, particularly in EMEA and India. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with leaders and HR partners. Handles sensitive employee information with confidentiality and professionalism. Able to develop leave and time off proposals and policies for manager sign-off. Can communicate to employees with empathy. You might also have Experience working in a fast-paced environment. A strong ability to work towards alignment with stakeholders. Additional information Relocation support is not available for this position.
