This part-time post (0.2 FTE) is available from August 2025 on a fixed-term basis for 2 years. This role is subject to final programme approval. You will have responsibility, with the support of the Programme Director and DClinPGR Portfolio Director, for managing and monitoring the research aspects of the programme and their associated operational administration, curriculum development, and quality management and enhancement (including accreditation/registration by relevant professional institutions where appropriate). You will work with the Programme Director/Director of Portfolio as appropriate to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the research elements of the programme in accord with the Faculty's education strategy and implementing the External Affairs strategy. The research curriculum, under the University of Exeter's Doctorate in Forensic Psychology (DForenPsy) programme, aims to enable trainee Forensic Psychologists to become evidence-based sophisticated consumers and producers of forensic and applied research. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced research trainer who will be dedicated to the leadership task of preparing future Psychologists to become ethical and effective research skilled Scientist Practitioners. You will have evidence of conducting research and scholarship of national/international standing in a relevant area aligned to the interests of the DForenPsy. You will act as co-ordinator for the research teaching and be responsible for key deliverables such as the successful completion of doctoral research theses within standard timescales (within 3 years) and the maintenance of strong collaborative provision with the research and forensic community in the local area and nationally. You will be a strong communicator able to assimilate, interpret, and communicate scientific knowledge and information to a wide audience of learners and future practitioners, and will enjoy working as part of a dynamic team of educators and researchers. The successful candidate will enjoy the opportunity to build effective relationships and partnerships between the DForenPsy, the DClinPGR Doctoral Portfolio, the Psychology Department, the wider University, and external stakeholders. As we wish to support the development of individual research capacity, we are open to negotiation of dedicated research time with the DForenPsy Programme Director. You will be responsible for the creation, development, and delivery of innovative teaching & learning materials for the research elements of the DForenPsy. Working alongside the Programme Director for the DForenPsy, we are seeking someone interested in leading an innovative review of the pedagogical approaches adopted for delivery of the research curricula within the DForenPsy. For Senior Lecturer posts you will:

Possess a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge (demonstrated by a PhD/Professional Doctorate in Forensic Psychology, or equivalent qualification or experience in Forensically relevant research & practice) in order to teach and support learning on Forensic Psychology modules. Possess a good honours degree in Psychology or a related discipline (2:1 or equivalent). Have a consistent track record of excellent teaching across a variety of modules and levels within your discipline as might be expected of a very experienced HE Teacher/be very experienced as a Forensic Psychologist in applied settings with experience of training Forensic Psychologists. Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of a range of modules or programmes at various levels; applying innovative and appropriate teaching techniques; identifying sources of funding and securing funds for own scholarly activities and providing academic leadership to those working within programme areas. Be expected to work towards Principal Fellow of the HEA and to attend formal CPD relating to this. Starting salary will be from £50,694 to £64,235 per annum pro rata on Grade G, depending on qualifications and experience. The post may attract a market supplement, in line with Agenda for Change 8c depending on skills and experience.
