Senior Ledger Accountant

The role is a core function within the Finance team where you will be responsible for providing day to day maintenance of Group wide Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Client Fees (invoicing) and associated back office records.

As our Senior Ledger Accountant you will be responsible for: Overall responsibility for bank reconciliations of the Group Preparing VAT returns for the group and acquisitions. Calculation of any payments, creating the payment request and loading VAT payments that are approved by the financial controller. Managing and reviewing the VAT on purchase ledger transactions and providing feedback to staff Overseeing the sales ledger processes day to day and the main point of contact for queries around commpay and the sales ledger. Preparation of Adviser payment runs and preparing self employed adviser statements Processing adjustments on commpay, including maintenance of hierarchies and month end close. Supporting and assisting the Financial Controller with implementation of process changes and improvements Assisting the Ledger Accountants with loading invoices and any holiday cover when required Supporting the team with audit queries Ensuring all processes above are documented and kept up to date What we are looking for in our ideal Senior Ledger Accountant:

Minimum AAT Level 3 or Equivalent Hold a keen interest for a career in Finance Effective organisational and planning skills Able to work to deadlines Experienced using Microsoft Office Delivery focused, with a drive for quality throughout Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must have a keen eye for detail Benefits and Perks at AFH
